Nigerian Startups Earn International Recognition At SEE Pakistan 2026
Entrepreneurs supported by the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) have achieved international recognition at the SEE Pakistan 2026 World Startup Championship held in Lahore, Pakistan, highlighting the growing competitiveness of Nigeria’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The event brought together startups and entrepreneurs from several countries to showcase innovative solutions, engage investors, receive mentorship and explore cross-border partnerships.
The competition provided an international platform for emerging enterprises to demonstrate their products and business models before a global audience.
Speaking on the achievement, Kazeem Kolawole Raji, Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of NBTI, said the success of the Nigerian participants demonstrates the country’s growing capacity for innovation and entrepreneurship and reflects the opportunities created by efforts to strengthen the business and technology environment.
A key highlight of Nigeria’s participation was the recognition of Nature’s Sleek, which emerged among the category winners at the championship.
The achievement underscores the ability of indigenous Nigerian enterprises to develop innovations capable of competing in international markets.
NBTI said the outcome reinforces its mandate of nurturing technology-based enterprises, promoting indigenous innovation and supporting the commercialisation of home-grown technologies.
According to the agency, the performance of the entrepreneurs reflects years of mentorship, technical guidance and business development support provided through its Technology Incubation Centres across the country.
The board also acknowledged the contributions of its centre managers, technical officers, mentors and support staff, whose efforts help entrepreneurs move from concept development to market-ready businesses.
NBTI stated that it remains committed to expanding opportunities for Nigerian innovators through greater access to international markets, investors, strategic partners and global innovation platforms.
The agency added that the success recorded in Lahore demonstrates the potential of Nigerian startups to compete internationally when supported with the right incubation, mentorship and commercialisation frameworks.
The board congratulated all participating entrepreneurs and expressed appreciation to the organisers of SEE Pakistan for providing a platform that enabled innovators from different countries to connect, compete and showcase their solutions.
