FRSC Promotes 120 Senior Officers
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the promotion of 120 senior officers to various ranks following approval from the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
The promotion exercise, which officially took effect on January 1, 2026, is part of the Federal Government’s initiative to reward professionalism and strengthen leadership within the Corps.
Breakdown of Promotions
According to a statement signed by the Acting Corps Public Education Officer, Corps Commander Felicia Kalu, the elevation includes:
- 19 officers promoted to Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM).
- 55 Deputy Corps Commanders (DCC) elevated to Corps Commander (CC).
- 46 Assistant Corps Commanders (ACC) advanced to Deputy Corps Commander (DCC).
The 19 officers promoted to the rank of Assistant Corps Marshal include A. Oki, N.S. Joseph, C.Z. Mathew, S.E. Dawulung, F.A. Ogidan, A.O. Ruka, A.O. Ugah, U.E. Oji, I.M. Bazzama, F.N. Theman, O.E. Joseph, R.E. Akpabio, U.B. Amaechi, A. Owolabi, Leye Adeboboye, M.O. Egbe, B.S. Akanji, F.O. Etta, and K. Tsukwan.
Charge from the Corps Marshal
Congratulating the newly promoted personnel, Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed described the exercise as a reflection of the Corps’ commitment to structured career progression and discipline.
”Promotion within the FRSC is not merely a reward but a call to greater responsibility,” Mohammed stated.
He urged the beneficiaries to utilize their experience to further the Corps’ mandate of reducing road traffic crashes and ensuring safer roads across Nigeria.
The FRSC management has directed all promoted officers to refrain from wearing their new ranks until they are formally decorated in accordance with established official procedures.
