NELFUND Denies Increase In Student Upkeep Allowance, Maintains ₦20,000 Monthly.

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has dismissed media reports claiming an increase in the monthly upkeep allowance for student beneficiaries.

In a statement issued on Monday in Abuja, the Director of Strategic Communications, Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, clarified that the approved allowance remains ₦20,000 per month, not ₦25,000 as widely reported.

She urged students to disregard contrary information and rely solely on official NELFUND communication channels for accurate updates.

The Fund expressed appreciation for students’ continued cooperation and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering transparent, efficient, and student focused support nationwide.
