NYSC DG Urges Renewed Dedication to the Fatherland

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has called on corps members and staff across the federation to embrace the virtues of sacrifice, renewal, and hope as they join the global community in celebrating Easter. In a press statement released by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the Director-General emphasized that the core values of the Easter season align closely with the fundamental mission of the NYSC.”Easter offers a profound reminder of sacrifice, renewal, hope, and love—virtues that lie at the heart of the National Youth Service Corps,” the statement read. The DG encouraged all members of the NYSC family to reflect these principles in their daily conduct and interactions.Highlighting the importance of national cohesion, the Director-General urged corps members to remain steadfast in their commitment to selfless service and mutual respect. The message underscored that Nigeria’s diversity should be viewed as a source of strength rather than a point of division. The statement continued: “Through our collective resolve and shared sense of purpose, we can further advance the cause of a more peaceful, united, and prosperous Nigeria.”Concluding the message with the scheme’s signature patriotic sentiment, “Nigeria is ours; Nigeria we serve,” the DG expressed hope that the season would provide a renewed sense of fulfillment and a deeper dedication to the service of the fatherland.
