TUC, ASCSN Picket NAICOM Over Alleged Mass Sack.

The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria and its affiliates have picketed the National Insurance Commission, protesting the alleged mass dismissal of workers over examination failure.
The workers accuse the Commission of breaching an earlier agreement, particularly regarding concerns surrounding the conduct of the promotion examination.
According to the Union Chairman of NAICOM, Comrade Ibrahim Mustapha, the situation escalated last Friday when affected staff reportedly received letters inviting them to appear before a disciplinary committee.
He vowed that the picketing exercise would continue until the union’s demands are met.
Also speaking, the President of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, Comrade Shehu Mohammed, expressed concern over the Commission’s actions, describing them as a violation of established labour agreements.
Meanwhile, the management of NAICOM, union leadership, and workers’ representatives later held a closed-door meeting, where the issues were amicably resolved.
The resolution is expected to restore harmony within the Commission, as both parties have agreed to honour the terms reached.
