The Nigeria Police Force has arrested 50 suspects linked to various criminal activities, including kidnapping, armed robbery, terrorism, and illegal possession of firearms, in a series of coordinated operations across the country.

Speaking at a press briefing at the Force Intelligence Department–Intelligence Response Team headquarters in Guzape, Abuja, the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Anthony Okon Placid, said the arrests are part of ongoing efforts to combat crime and strengthen national security.

He noted that the operations, carried out between January and April 2026, also led to the recovery of a cache of weapons and other equipment.

Among the cases highlighted is the arrest of Musa Jibrin, who was apprehended for unlawful possession of firearms.

The Police spokesman also disclosed that 33 of the suspects have been linked to the November 2025 attack on a church in Kwara State.

The Police say investigations are ongoing, with efforts intensified to apprehend fleeing suspects and recover additional weapons.
The Force reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing security operations and collaborating with other law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of citizens across the country.
